Following on from DNA studies we learn of our early ancestors originating in Ireland and then living in Roman and Mediaeval times. Have you any archaeological treasures relating to our ancestors? Clive Saul (Cumbrian NQA) now lives in North Lancashire near Kirkby Lonsdale and has recently acquired a metal detector and has some interesting finds. The area is home to a number of Saul charts around Yealand, Hornby, Gressingham, Arnside and Lancaster.
Among his finds are a Bronze age Spearhead c2200 BC and an Edward III penny c1351
