We are sad to have to report the death of Bob Sheldon, who had been on the committee for many, many years. He joined the Society in 1995 and went on to the committee in the same year as a Research Co-ordinator for one of the geographical areas in the UK. He stepped down in 2011 when he felt he had exhausted the research. He was also our Membership Secretary for many years and was a regular attendee at all of our annual gatherings.
He was a quiet man but had lots of funny stories about his life, particularly about his work, including his first job when he ‘worked in ladies underwear’ as he was an accountant for a lingerie company!
We extend our sympathy to his wife Anne and his children and grandchildren.
