SAUL LEAMINGTON TO BEBINGTON LINK PROVEN

from Martin Saul

This article was originally published in the December 2009 edition of Soul Search, the journal of The Sole Society

Following extensive research and heartache, I have finally found proof that two of my Great Uncles who were born in Leamington, Ernest Henry Saul born 1893 and Albert Edward Saul born 1895, the two eldest sons of Henry and Emily Saul of Waterloo Street, did indeed move to Bebington and started two new Saul family lines.

I have managed to track down these lines over the last 2½ years. Some I have already met, and others I’m arranging to meet in the very near future. The rest will hopefully make the 3rd family reunion in May 2010.

This photo plus others were given to me by John Saul when we travelled to Bebington in late September 2009 to meet John, his wife Kathy and his sister Sylvia. It shows their grandparents, Albert Edward Saul and his wife May, plus two others unknown to them.

After we travelled home, I later looked more closely at the photos and realised who the other two are, my Great Grand parents, Henry and Emily.
