From Richard Smith
This article was originally published in the July 2000 edition of Soul Search, the journal of The Sole Society.
Elizabeth Sewell of Little Yeldham, spinster, uttered acandalous & provoking words in the presentage of divers people about Robert Sadler of Little Yeldham, saying that "you are a stinking knave & a burstengutted knave & you would revise me". Found guilty & fined 3s. 4d."
Richard checked an Old English dictionary to find that "burstengutted" means; " fitted to burdting with excement".
