William Johnson (1837-1878) was born at Chislet, Kent and is the son of Phoebe Sole and her husband Thomas Johnson who were married in 1833 at Chislet, Kent. Phoebe is the daughter of Edward and Mercy (nee Chittenden) Sole, the earliest recorded ancestors of this line.

Thomas Johnson (1861-1941) was born in Co. Dublin and is the son of William. He appears with his wife Edith (nee Partridge 1974-1967) and their daughter Ellen Patience (1903-1999) who was the mother of Edie, our member
