LIVERPOOL SHIPWRECK & HUMANE SOCIETY AWARD TO JOHN SAUL

Bronze General medal and vote of thanks to PC 249 A, John SAUL, for a courageous attempt to stop a runaway horse attached to a van in Water St on Aug 25th, during which he was kicked and knocked down. The horse was eventually brought to a standstill in George’s Dock gates by Peter GUNN and William TAYLOR, to whom 20s each was awarded.
