New member Beverly Carr has kindly provided the following photograph for our gallery in the web site. Beverly writes:

“It shows Annie Eliza Soale (1873-1919), my grandmother, taken in Miami, Florida, USA, in 1914.  With her in the picture, left to right: Ralph, twins Cliff and Thomas, and Herbert.  Annie was married to Alexander Donald Henry Fossey. They immigrated to the US around 1906.

Annie’s son Ralph became a Dade County Commissioner (Miami, Florida), following in the footsteps of his father ADH Fossey who was Mayor of Miami, Florida, in the 1930's.  Eliza's son, Herbert, died in a car crash in 1931 on his way home from the Univerisity of Florida, after being elected president of his forthcoming sophmore class. A plaque is dedicated to him in the library there.  The twins are still living in Florida and had successful business careers.  Annie died of breast cancer in 1919, just 2 years after the birth of her 5th child, a girl she named Constance (my mother).”
